What separates a tint job that ages well from one that bubbles in a year.
Window film is computer-cut to the vehicle's exact glass shape and hand-finished at the edges. Curved rear glass and factory dot-matrix borders get extra attention so the film sits tight to the gasket without lifting at the corners. We work around defroster lines without scratching them.
We install XPEL Prime film exclusively, in three grades. Prime CS is dyed for shade and budget. Prime XR is multi-layer ceramic that rejects heat and infrared without metal in the film, so it doesn't interfere with phone, GPS, toll transponders, or radar detectors. Prime XR Plus is the top of the line with a lifetime warranty.
Every install starts with a deep glass clean inside and out. We pull weatherstripping back where it needs to come back, vacuum the cabin around the work area, and tape off interior trim so nothing gets bumped. Dust control matters more than any other prep step for a tint job that ages well.
Ceramic film does not bubble, purple, or fade like the old dyed films most shops still sell. Prime XR Plus carries a lifetime warranty against color shift, bubbling, peeling, and adhesive failure. The film outlasts most vehicles. Heat-rejection performance holds for the life of the install.
Don't roll your windows down for the first 3 to 5 days. The adhesive needs that time to fully bond. After that, clean with ammonia-free glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive pads. Pressure washing the exterior glass is fine on day one. We hand you the full care card at pickup.

Get in touchHow long does tint take to cure?
The film is dry to the touch within an hour, but the adhesive takes 3 to 5 days to fully bond. Don't roll your windows down or scrub the inside glass during that window. After 5 days, treat the windows like new glass.
Is ceramic tint worth the upgrade over dyed?
For most drivers, yes. Ceramic (XR or XR Plus) rejects far more heat and infrared than dyed film at the same visible darkness. You feel the difference within a mile of driving in summer sun. Dyed film (Prime CS) still has a place when budget is the priority.
What is Oregon's legal tint percentage?
On a passenger car, Oregon requires at least 35% VLT (visible light transmission) on every side window and the back glass, not just the fronts, and the film itself has to be rated 50% or lighter. Trucks, vans, and SUVs can run darker film behind the driver if the vehicle has outside mirrors on both sides. Windshields can be tinted along the top strip down to the AS-1 line. We confirm the legal limit per window before we cut film.
Will ceramic tint interfere with my phone or GPS?
No. XPEL Prime XR and XR Plus are non-metallic, so phone signal, GPS, toll transponders, satellite radio, and radar detectors all work normally. This is the main reason ceramic costs more than the old metalized films and the main reason it's worth it.
Can you tint a windshield?
The top windshield strip down to the AS-1 line, yes. A full windshield tint is not legal in Oregon. We can also install clear ceramic film across the full windshield purely for heat rejection if you want the temperature drop without changing visible darkness.
What is the warranty on Prime CS vs XR vs XR Plus?
Prime CS carries a manufacturer warranty against bubbling and peeling. Prime XR carries a 10-year warranty. Prime XR Plus carries a lifetime warranty against color shift, bubbling, peeling, and adhesive failure. All three are registered to your VIN at install.
